Acoustic enclosure installation at an industrial machinery manufacturer

APPLICATION DETAILS:

High levels of noise from a gearbox and power pack at an industrial machinery manufacturer needed to be addressed as the noise produced was affecting nearby workers.

SUPPLY SCOPE:

To effectively mitigate noise, Wakefield Acoustics designed, manufactured and installed a three-sided acoustic enclosure sealed up to an adjacent plant ventilation fan, which was incorporated for warm air extraction.

PRODUCT SELECTION AND PERFROMANCE:

The Wakefield Acoustics team designed the acoustic enclosure with hinged access panels to enable ongoing maintenance.

ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE:

The bespoke acoustic enclosure was designed to reduce noise by 25dBA, in order to create a more comfortable working environment for site employees.
