As a part of CECO’s Thermal Acoustics business group, Wakefield Acoustics have grown to become one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of advanced industrial, commercial and environmental noise control systems

Since our formation in 1980, Wakefield Acoustics has evolved and is one of the most respected and forward thinking industrial acoustic engineering companies in the UK, operating across a diverse range of sectors. We have worked closely with many of the world’s leading blue chip companies to solve complex noise problems often in extreme, arduous or hazardous area environments.

Our extensive experience in providing innovative noise control engineering solutions covers sectors including power generation, oil and gas, petrochemical, commercial construction and infrastructure, water and waste, recycling, and general manufacturing industries.

Wakefield Acoustics operates a fully integrated QHSE management system and is accredited to ISO9001:2015, IS014001:2015 and ISO45001:2018. Additionally, we are accredited to Achilles UVDB and Safecontractor.

Our acoustic panels and louvres have been tested to BS EN ISO 10140-2:2010 and our acoustic enclosure range has been independently tested in accordance with BS EN IS0 11546-1 :2009 as required by BS EN ISO 15667. We also have extensive experience in designing, manufacturing, and installing products that adhere to client and industry standards such as NORSOK S2002, ASME, API.

Safety training is an ongoing initiative for all staff in the business. This includes our highly trained installation teams who are familiar with the requirements of operating on customer sites within the UK and overseas. We have a vast array of specialist safety qualifications including CCNSG, CSCS, IPAF, PASMA, IOSH along with many other specific site and customer safety qualifications.

Our key strength lies in the depth of knowledge, skill and experience of our staff. We have a highly qualified, experienced and skilled workforce with specialist skills in acoustic design, mechanical design (2D AutoCad and 3D Solidworks), project management and site and installation management. We also provide specialist skills within structural design, fire and gas detection systems, electrical fit out and blast load analysis as an integrated offering within our range.

Within our manufacturing team we employ highly skilled and experienced metal workers and fabricators and have a highly trained and experienced installation teams.

We continuously invest in the latest sheet metal, fabrication tooling, equipment and manufacturing facilities, allowing us to cater for products of significant size and weight. We operate within the principles of lean manufacturing and are committed to a programme of continuous improvement throughout all areas of the business.
